This day long, hands-on writing workshop/fellowship is designed to inspire thoughtful conversation, to provide insightful feedback, to instill a spirit of community, and to ignite the imagination.
Morning and afternoon writing prompts and sharing sessions will be interspersed with a fun lunch (provided) and reinvigorating beach walk, and the day will end with a happy hour and open mic.

Two Writing Prompts & a Picnic will be facilitated by Beach Shack Writers director and developmental editor, Cindy Whitman. Recently serving as editor and contributing writer at KA Confidential magazine, and now as editor at Pink magazine, Cindy has worked with writers and published authors from coast-to-coast. A graduate of the MFA Writing Seminars at Bennington College, and a Judge’s Special Mention award recipient in the Pirate’s Alley/Pen Faulkner Medal for the Personal Essay, Cindy has been awarded writing fellowships to The Cottages at Hedgebrook, The UCross Foundation, and The Vermont Studio Center.
